Phuket attractions solidify this place as one of the most beautiful on Earth. The people, culture, food, and art make it a breathtaking place to vacation. There are many, many things to see and do in Phuket, so we have selected just a handful that we believe need to be on your to-do list. Check out the Phuket attractions below.

Phang Nga Bay

Phang Nga Bay features sheer cliffs of limestone rising out of brilliant green water. The view is unforgettable. You can tour the bay’s islands, sightseeing around the beautiful flora and sheltered fauna that make their homes there. Koh Panyee and James Bond Island are just two famous places in the bay that you can visit. You can enjoy the bay by taking a boat trip out to the area from Phuket’s northern end.

Old Phuket Town

Unique shops and Sino-Portuguese sights are one of the great surprises that await in Phuket’s capital. It offers interesting sights and amazing restaurants, combining Chinese and colonial architecture with a cozy, home-like feeling.

Phuket FantaSea Show

This show is funky and fun, but professionally executed. With elephants, trapeze artists, and pyrotechnics, the Phuket FantaSea Show is laden with Las Vegas style. The participants combine Thailand’s traditional mythology with fantasy and plot that becomes more interesting as it goes, making it like nothing else on Earth. The show is a must-see when in Phuket.

Big Buddha

The Big Buddha is truly a breathtaking sight. At 45 meters tall, it is visible from much of south Phuket. This recent addition to the island stands atop the Nakkerd Hills, watching down over Rawai, Kata, and Chalong. Next to Big Buddha sits a smaller, brass Buddha, and a shrine is nearby, as well. An additional feature of the site that Big Buddha sits on is the fact that there is an amazing view once you get to the top of the hills.

Wat Chalong and Phuket Temples

Visited by thousands upon thousands each year, Wat Chalong is one of Phuket’s most significant and beloved temples. It is decorated with tiny pieces of glass, creating dazzling reflections, and there are numerous pagodas nearby. Wat Chalong hosts country fairs on special holidays, featuring cultural sights and local foods.
